When kids reach school age, they will treat their school as their second home because they will be spending a huge fraction of the entire day in school. At home, we make sure that our kids are protected from any danger and harm. We even teach them to call 911 in case of emergency. But how are we going to protect them if they are in school? How will they know what to do in case of fire or earthquake? The answer: Make sure you enroll your kids in a school with proper school emergency planning.
In school, the administration will be the one responsible for the safety and security of the children. We should trust the administration regarding this matter and also coordinate with them regarding this. Anything can happen and we cannot control unwanted circumstances and all we can do is to be aware and prepared for it.
